De Waanzinnige Wijsheid meditatie-onderdompeling is een diepe duik van vijf maanden in ideeën, gedragingen en meditaties die de wereld bevrijden van jouw projecties (ook wel ontwaken genoemd).
Door retraites, tweewekelijkse online oefeningen en lessen, wekelijkse gesprekken met een partner en individuele feedbacksessies, word je ingewijd in de praktijk van "samen anders zijn". Met een kleine groep toegewijde mediteerders, creëren we de voorwaarden voor een ervaring van ontwaken.
Deze onderdompeling is transspiritueel. Dat betekent dat elke levensovertuiging welkom is en dat we niet vasthouden aan een dogmatische waarheid of heilige autoriteit. Dat gezegd zijnde, komen de visies en oefenpraktijken waarmee we werken vooral uit het Tibetaans boeddhisme (Mahamudra en Dzogchen) en tantrisch shaivisme.
We kijken ernaar uit om samen te zijn met jou.

Foundational preparation: we support you in developing a healthy sense of self, the ability to regulate your emotions, and the meta-cognitive and collaborative skills to establish healthy, mature relationships. Why is this relevant and necessary? At the core of everything we do at house of the beloved is being different together. That means to deeply connect with each other by expressing our own way of being human, and allowing and supporting others to do the same. However, expressing your own way of being human is not available to everyone. Some people don’t know who they are and what they want. Some find it too scary to show themselves. Some are too busy taking care for others, that they forget about themselves. Some are afraid of the intensity of their own emotions. Some never learned to look at themselves and understand how they function. All these challenges will interfere with the practices of HOTB, including meditation and authentic presence Level 0: anchoring down has 3 pillars: First, psycho-education. You learn about * human development, * social and emotional skills, * the basics of Tibetan buddhist and tantric shaivist psychology. Second, you learn basic skills to organise your life and your social relations. * changing habits * non-violent communication * ask and give consent * taking ownership over your experience * thinking skills Third, you learn to connect with your body. * healthy diet * fitness and flexibility * energetic body * breathing techniques Underneath this preparation is the development of a healthy sense of self, the ability to regulate your emotions, and the meta-cognitive and collaborative skills to establish healthy, mature relationships. This level is in development and will be offered as separate weekends. You can start with level 1 without having finished level 0.
level 1: taste of awakening
From ordinary awareness to an experience of awakened awareness This level 1 immersion includes: * Support to establish and maintain a daily practice * Cultivating a motivation, attitude, and lifestyle conducive to your practice * Preparatory practices to address your attachment patterns and unconscious conditionings. * Four yoga’s of mahamudra: * yoga of one pointedness * yoga of non-elaboration * yoga of one taste * yoga of non-meditation * Concentration (samatha) and insight (vipassana) meditation * Contemporary insights from cognitive neuroscience * Humor. Don't take this too seriously.
level 2: making it real
Stabilising awakened awareness so you have it at all times and in all circumstances In this level we work with mixing practices and authentic presence to train ourselves to come from the perspective of awakened awareness every waking and sleeping hour. Always. More about level 2 is upcoming.

Our togetherness is rooted in love, which we define as: “The willingness to extend oneself to support one’s own and another’s existential development.”
Together, we care for this shared space—the House of the Beloved—and we take joint responsibility for cooking and cleaning during retreats.

The immersion includes three in-person weekend-retreats, bi-weekly online check-ins and lectures, homeworks (practice and readings), weekly, paired sharing, and three individual mentoring sessions.
Preliminary practices:
We will have an online call to explain about the immersion, give you an opportunity to ask questions, and initiate your preparations for the first retreat.

In person retreats:
All retreats take place in House of the beloved (Boulevard Emile Bockstael 22 in Laken, Brussels, Belgium). There are three in-person weekends. The dates are collectively chosen.
In the Fall there will be two levels happening simultaneously. You can only join level 2 if you have completed level 1.

Requirements for applicants:

Commitment to daily sitting practice of minimum 30 min, preferably in the morning and the evening.

Commitment to whole trajectory, including intermediate check-ins and sharings.

Registration: You can secure your spot by contributing between €300 and €500—according to your capacity—to account IBAN BE54 7370 7190 1897 (House of the beloved vzw, with the reference: “immersion _[your name]_”). There will be four additional installments, making five payments in total. Alternatively, you may choose to pay the full amount (between €1500 and €2500) upfront. If you pay more than €300, you support someone who is not able to pay the minimum amount.
