"crazy wisdom"
meditation immersion
It is important to distinguish two approaches to spiritual practice.
The first one is to try to live up to what we would like to be. To pretend to be divine or a realised person, to forget the bad and pretend to be good, and to classify everything we don’t know or understand about our spiritual quest as “beyond concepts” and “ineffable”. This is called spiritual materialism.
The second approach is to try to live what we are. “It means to see our confusion, or misery and pain, but not making those discoveries into an answer.” “Instead, we explore further and further without looking for an answer.” “Going further in and in without the reference point of spirituality, of a saviour, or of good and bad - without any reference point whatsoever!” Until we reach the basic level of (conceptual, red.) hopelessness. This one-shot, ongoingly ruthless process of psychological penetration is the essence of crazy wisdom and a path to liberation.
Paraphrased/quoted from Chögyam Trungpa’s “Crazy wisdom”.
Dear beloved,
Soon we will start a 6 month immersion trajectory with a small group of dedicated meditators. It will cover the first map (from ordinary awareness to an experience of awakening) and the second map (stabilising awakened awareness) using techniques from Mahamudra and Dzogchen.
Below you find more information.
May you be well.
