womxn running wild together
In very unique ways all of us have to relate to a patriarchal world. As a girl, you are supposed to feel, think and act in certain ways, whereas other behaviour is subtly frowned upon or downright disapproved. Some have adjusted to these ideas, others rebelled against them, or ignored them, but without exemption, our experiences and inner worlds are continuously shaped by the patriarchy and other power structures such as imperialism, white-supremacy and capitalism.
Do you know what you truly long for? Are you ready to explore all your emotions? How does your body feel, move and connect to others, without all social conventions? What stories about yourself want to be shared without fear or shame?
What could happen when you are fully free and spontaneous?
May the taste of my fear,
echoes of my grief,
longings for joy or destruction,
and the caress of familiar bodies,
take me home.
It's time to run wild together! Guided by the revolutionary work of dominatrix and Taoist monk Kasia Urbaniak (Unbound, A woman’s guide to power; 2020) we will explore our conscious, subconscious and embodied beliefs about what we can and cannot be. What would it take to fully step into a place of domination; to embody power? And on the flipside, what keeps us from fully surrendering into the care of another. Really, truly, surrendering and trusting?
During five evenings, we will explore how desire, anger, sexuality, power and surrender shape our unique lives. We cook and eat together, meditate, talk, move, dance, sing, fight, paint, scream, and cry if we want to… We hold space, support and connect: Unlearning and unbounding. Running wild together in our own unique ways.
Empowering embodied deconstruction for people who identify as a woman or have experience(d) being identified as such.
